After lunch other members joined the happy crowd a*nd upon the president welcoming the guests, the meeting was handed over to the members of the executive for the afternoon. The president, Miss Claire, then conducted an imaginary meeting of the institute, the minutes read being very humorous, while the mock balancesheet and financial statement created much further amusement. Each member of the branch had on display an article on handcraft, being allowed ten minutes for explanatory purposes. Afternoon tea was dispensed and after the visitors had returned thanks for the hospitality extended to them, the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthean. WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
