POLES IN INDIA
LITTLE DESIRE TO RETURN Bombay, March 6. Hardly 1 per cent of the 5000 Polish refugees who arrived in India in 1943 and 1944 have volunteered to return to Poland, said the deputy-chairman of the Polish Relief Committee, M. S. Darlewski. The majority would prefer to settle in Australia or Canada. Some wanted to .‘lay in India. Most of the refugees are in camp in the Bombay presidency. The Welfare committee Said that there is at present no possibility of sending them to Poland.
