(Special) Wellington, March 8. Situation.--An anti-cyclone east of the North Island covers New Zealand and a tropical storm west of Norfolk Island is moving southward. Forecast, to 5 p.m., Saturday: Light to moderate north-easterly winds; weather fair and mild. Further Outlook: Cloudy, some scattered rain possible.
The New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, reports as follows for the 24 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday; Sunshine, It) hours 20 minutes. Rainfall, nil. Maximum temperature, 73 deg. Fahr.; minimum temperature, 43deg. Fahr. Time of Sunset: To-day, 6.53 p.m. Time of Sunrise: To-morrow, 6.11 a.m.
