CROMWELL OPENS TO-DAY
FIRST MEETING SINCE 1941 Lisheen, winner of the Burnside Handicap at Wingatui last Saturday, stands out in the Cromwell Handicap, principal event on the first day of the Cromwell Jockey Club’s meeting which opens to-day. There is little in Jhe way of opposition for Lisheen, and the promoted hack Sailors Pal may do best of the others. It will be the first meeting held at Cromwell since 1941. Likely candidates are:—
