NO BROADCASTING
AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENT Recd. 9.15 p.m. Canberra, M'arch 7. The Labour Party caucus and the Opposition parties rejected a proposal by the Australian Broadcasting Commission to broadcast the Parliamentary session nightly on sitting days. The proposal, which was submitted as an alternative to a full broadcast of the proceedings, provided for six minutes for each of two spokesmen, representing the Government and the Opposition, with the rest of a halfhour for comment. . The rejection was manw on the grounds that the time was unsuitable and inadequate.
