MANGAWEKA RESPONSE
“FOOD-FOR-BRITAIN” DRIVE (O C.) Mangaweka. March 6. The president of the Rpd Cross, Mangaweka branch, reports that two large boxes have been packed for the “Food-for-Britain drive. These contained soap and tinned foodstuffs which had been given by the local residents per medium of the gift box in Watson’s shop. The sum of £2O has also been sent to the Wanganui centre for the same purpose by the local branch. C.O.R S.O. has been sent a large case of linen as well.
