"FINEST IN THE WORLD’’
SABLES STOLEN AND SAFE REMOVED - ~ London, March 4. Sables valued at £lB,OOO and. a safe containing £3OOO in notes were the haul of burglars who last night entered Grantham Castle, the home of Mrs. Vanderelst, a crusader for the abolition of capital punishment. Mrs. Vanderelst described the sables as the “finest in the world.” This is the twelfth robbery of her property in the past four years. The notes were in the safe, which the burglars removed during the hour in which the watchman was do ng his outside rounds Mrs. Vanderelst was not living at Grantham Castle at the time of the robbery: she was absent at her home in Kensington.
