NOVEL HARVEST FESTIVAL OFFERING
(0.C.) Mangaweka, March 4 At the Ohingaitl Church Harvest Festival (Anglican) which took place last night, a novel idea was introduced. Instead of the usual offering.’ of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables it was decided to allocate the gifts as food for Britain. Members of Ihe congregation therefore brought tins of fruit, vegetables etc, as wel'. as dried foodstuff. It is proposed to do likewise at the festival in Mangaweka and Ranglwahia.
