ARE INVESTMENTS TO BE CONTROLLED
Something is brewing with the New Zealand Government as regards co trol of investments, says the latest issue of “N.Z. Commerce,” official organ of Associated Chambers of Commerce. “In response to an inquiry from Associated Chambers,” it adds “the Minister of Finance (Mr. Nash) stated under date September 13 last, that with regard to the existing wartime restrictions on capital issues, ‘the subject is at the present time under consideration, a'd as soon a; the matter has been determined I will be glad to announce the policy of the Government.’ ” It is understood that Associated Chambers within the next few days are to make further representations to the Government with a view to having the position in regard to wartime restricts is clarified. rfVWSiVVWWVWWVWWWWVWWWWVVWVW
