CROQUET TOURNEY ENDS

OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY OGIER THE NEW TITLE-HOLDERS A. E. Ogier (Wanganui) won the North Island open croquet championship yesterday when he beat D. McCiymont (Wanganui), 26-25, 18-26, 26-15. . During an interval yesterday afternoon, Mr. Ogier, president of the Wanganui Croquet Association, for the New Zealand Croquet Council, presented the prizes. He said the tournament had been very successful and paid a tribute to the manager, Mrs. N Lynch, and her assistant. Mrs. Brass, for the excellent organisation. He thanked the helpers who had attended to the catering arrangements and all who had contributed to the tournament’s success. The new title-holders are: - Open Championship: A. E. Level Singles: Mrs. Spinks (Paercal; runner-up, Mrs. Beattie (Wanganui). Handicap Doubles: D. McClymont and Mrs. Phillips (Wanganui);' run-ners-up, J. Peters and Mrs. Lockett (Wanganui).
