BRITISH BOARD OF TRADE
PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY RESIGNS
Recd. 6 p.m. * London, Jan. 8. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade, Mr. Ellis Smith, has resigned. In a letter to Mr. Attlee he said: "Owing to differences with the President of the Board of Trade, Sir Stafford Cripps. I place my resignation in your hands.”
The Press Association recalls that Mr. Smith, in the House of Commons recently, said he felt a little uneasy when he saw huge supply dumps in the country at the mercy of the weather.
