Power said that the defendant had been found taking bets by telephone at his house. Up io 2 p.m. of that day he had taken £3ll 2s 6d in bets. Dewai had previously been convicted of the . ame illegal practice about 2i years ago. Mr. G. Crosslev, counsel, pointed out that owing to physical disabilities Dewar was unable to follow a normal occupation. ?»Ir.
