INEFFICIENCY CHARGE AMERICAN COURT-MARTIAL Washington, Dec. 19. The Navy general coui l-mait al has acquitted Captain Charles B. McVay on lhe charge of inefficiency in connection with the loss of the United States cruiser Indianapolis, in the Philippines Sea on June 30. The Court did not announce its decision on the charge of negligence In failing to order a zigzag course. The Navy regulations require that any finding of guilt must bo reviewed by a higher authority before the verdict is announced, but thby require proven charges to be published immediately.
