ATTITUDE OF U.S. MUSICIANS

Petrillo, president of the American Federation of Musicians, has written to broadcasting stations: “Will you kindly discontinue the broadcasting of any musical programmes emanating from foreign countries, effective as from December 31. The order does not apply to Canada. Petrillo states the order is designed to protect American musicians against foreign competition.
