CIVIL FLYING AGAIN

RESTRICTIONS REMOVED Wellington, Dec. 23. The Government had agreed to the iemoval of th! prohibition of civil flying which hud been in existence since the beginning of the war, stated the Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones) today. He also announced that the Government had agreed to dispose of the miscellaneous light transport aircraft which had been requisitioned from aero clubs and private ownens during the war and which were now no longer required by the R.N.Z.A.F. These would be disposed of through the War Assets Realisation Board. The Minister added that he had approved of a considerable number of Tiger Moths being reconditioned for sale to aero clubs through the War Assets Realisation Board. Aero clubs were not being permitted to undertake air laxi work until such time as the New Zealand National Airways Corporation was in a position to advise as to what licences, if any, should be issued for air taxi services. .
