MEAT WORKS FIRE

SECOND IN EIGHT DAYS Hastings, Dec. 23. A fira did considerable damage to a large building and its contents, £5OO worth of wool, at the Freezing Works at six o'clock last night in the second fire in the same section of the works in eight days. The outbreak had a good hold when it was discovered. It was got under control speedily, but not before the building and contents had been damaged extensively.

The building, which was used for wool-cleaning purposes, is being repaired to-day to allow the operations of the works to continue without interr uptio n.
