GIFT PARCELS MAY BE SENT TO EUROPE
LIMIT OF SLBS. ON FOOD (P.A.) Wellington, Dec. 24. The acting-Postmaster-General, Mr. Jones, announced to-day that gift parties up to lllbs. in weight may now be sent to France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Greece. Such parcels must not contain more than 51bs. of food and the weight of
any one foodstuff must not exceed 21bs. Postings to one address may be made only once a month.
Mr. Jones also announced that transmission of private messages to ships at sea will be resumed on January 1.
