The Feast of the Nativity, the true I significance of which is appreciated by j i Christians because it celebrates the | birthday of Christ, will be an occasion 1 i for special rejoicing in Wanganui 1 churches to-morrow. 1 Christmas Day services, with appro-: : priate music and messages of goodwill, . I have been arranged by churches in the i city and suburbs. i Some have already held special ser- j | vices at which the singing of carols! or presentations of the “Messiah” were i I featured. | At St. Mary’s Catholic Church sol- ! jemn High Mass will be celebrated at : midnight to-night, and on Christmas ! morning Mass will be celebrated at lull suburban churches, the same times ! as Sunday being observed. Four Communion services will be held in Christ Church to-morrow, the hours being 6 a.m.. 7 am.. 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Communion services will also he held in the various suburban churches.
