SYDNEY PURCHASE PRICE NOT DISCLOSED
Recd. 7 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 22. The sale of the New Zealand galloper Immediate to a patron of the Sydney trainer R. Mead’s stable was made on the ship in Sydney Harbour yesterday. In the afternoon the horse was on the Waipori bound for New Zealand when the deal was completed. Immediate was taken from the ship a few hours before sailing time. Trainer E. J. Ellis, who negotiated the sale on behalf of the owner, Mr. M. Meehan, refused to disclose the pricb. He revealed, however, that he had refused an offer of 4000 .guineas after the gelding had run in the Melbourne Cup. Typhoon sailed on the Waipori.
