RESTRICTIONS PARTLY LIFTED (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., Nov. 14 Advice long and patiently awaited by the people of New Zealand about lhe partial lifting of restrictions on the sending of gilt parcels of food and clothing to Britain has just been received. said the acting-Postmaster-General. Mr. Jones, to-day. From now on parcels for civilians in Britain may be sent up to a gross weight of 11 lbs. but the total weight of food in any parcel must not exceed 71bs. and the parcel must not contain more than 21bs. of any one foodstuff. In other respects the conditions remain as previously. The postage is 3s 4d for a parcel not exceeding 7lbs. and 4s 6d for one not exceeding 11 lbs,
