DISASTROUS FIRE AT AUCKLAND

(P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 15. Damage estimated at several thousand pounds was caused by a tire which almost completely gutted the building and machine shop of George Magee and Co., motor body builders, St. James Street, city, in the early hours of the morning. A motor bus, several motor trucks and hundreds of pqunds worth of machinery were destroyed Oil and rubber fed the flames which caused heat. The building was insured with the New Zealand Insurance Comnanv for £9900 and the contenl'; for £5OO. Thera was also a cover of £9OO on a motor truck, which was having a body built on if.
