ARMY GOLF TITLE

SILK INCREASES LEAD Recd. 12.15 a.m. Rome, Nov. 14. Capt. Bryan Silk (Wanganui) increased his lead in the Army open golf championships in Italy to ten strokes. At the end of the second round he has an aggregate of 145. The Scottish professional, Bombardier Walker, of Carnoustie, is second, but Silk’s last card, 33, including four birdies, makes it difficult for the others to reduce the lead.
