KAIONE’S PROGRESS
“Done two hundred miles; all well.” This was the message received by the Wanganui Harbour Board yesterdav from the dredge Kaione, en route to Brisbane <l4OO miles). The Kaione. which has been sold by the Harbour Board to a Queensland firm, left Wanganui at 2.36 a.m. on Tuesday, and a message was radioed to her yesterday tn order to ascertain how she was progressing. The reply indicted that the Kaione had travelled 266 miles, her speed thus being a little over five knots an hour.
