N.Z. ESSAY COMPETITION
WANGANUI GIRLS’ COLIJEGE ENTRANT FOURTH Gillian Hamill, Wanganui Girls’ College, was placed fourth in New Zealand in • the British-American Cooperation Movement essay competi-' tion. First place went to Joan Kennedy, Sacred Heart Convent, Island Bay, Wellington. The subject of the essay was “The Contribution of the Late President Roosevelt to British-American Cooperation.” There were 76 entries from scholars representing 20 different schools.
