DEATH OF GENERAL MANAGER. News has been received by cable from Sydney of Ihe death on November 10, 1945’, of Mr. Andrew W. Sneddon, F.1.A., general manager and actuary of the Australian Mutual Provident Society. The late Mr. Sneddon, who had borne a particularly heavy strain during the war years became indisposed about four months ago and was granted sick leave until the end of the present year. Though responding at first to rest and treatment, he did not maintain the improvement and the end came rather unexpectedly. The late general manager was horn at Wallsend. New South Wales, in January, 1880 and entered the society's service as a junior clei k at lhe age of 17 sears. In addition to his ord nary Work he devoted himself immediate Iv to actuarial studies am ultimately attained the highest degree of Fellow of the Institute ol Actuaries.
