HOMESERVICEMEN MEET (0.c.) Taihape, Nov. 13 Presided over by Mr. A. M. Gordon, a meeting of the executive of the Taihape Home Servicemen’s Association was held recently. , It ’./..s reported that, the membership ci the branch totalled 75. It was hoped (hat the number would soon reach the hundred mark. The following new members have been enrolled: Messrs U*. s*J. Arthur. S. H. Browne, K. M. Booth, P. P. Green, A. S. Haward, H. F. Heskeih, J. G. Murray, W. J. Managh, M. M. McConachie, J. D. Robertson, G. F. Stevens, G. Taura. YOUNG ANGLICANS’ RALLY AT TAIHAPE More than 100 attended the rally of young Anglicans, held at St. Margaret’s Church, Taihape, recently. Sister Helen Sewell, You th Organiser for the Diocese, gave the address, which was on the aims and objects of the new movement within the church.
The concert held recently in aid of St. Margaret’s schoolroom repair fund, organised by Mrs. W. Hayes, L.T.C.L., was a big success. The door bakings amounted to £24. Mrs. Hayes’ pupils deserve commendation for the high merit of their items. The repairs to the schoolroom will shortly be put in hand.
