BRITISH STATEMENT PENDING
ARAB AND JEWISH LEADERS INVITED TO MEET
Recd. 11 p.m. London, Nov. 13. The Foreign Secretary, Mr. Bevin, is to make a statement on British policy in Palestine, probably to-day or to-morrow, in the House of Commons. Meanwhile, it is announced from Jerusalem that the acting British High Commissioner in Palestine, Mr. Shaw, has invited Arab and Jewish leaders to meet him at Government House. No reason is given for the meeting, but those who are to attend it believe they are being called to hear the British announcement of policy.
