JUDGING ON THE HOOKS ' \ An Aberdeen Angus, entered by Mr? L. A. Kellick, Mangamaliu, and placed Ilf th at the showgrounds, was awarded first place when judging on the hooks tor the New Zealand chilled beet championship was concluded at Imlay Works yesterday morning. The competition is held annually as part ot the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s spring show.

Second prize on the hooks went to an Aberdeen Angus, crossed with a Shorthorn-Hereford, entered by J. Wyley and Sons, Fordell, and placed second at the show. An Aberdeen Angus entered by Mr. J. C. Williams, Wanganui, placed seventh at th* show, was awarded third prize. EXPORT LAMBS JUDGED Judging of entries for the district export lamb competition was also concluded at Imlay yesterday, a pen entered by Mr. Alex. Macnab. Wanganui, placed sixth at the show, being awarded first place. Second prize went to J. E. Rogers. Turaklna, unplaced at the showgrounds, and third prize was awarded to S. F.
