MR. WEBB’S HEALTH
SATISFACTORY PROGRESS AFTER REMOVAL OF EYL
Recd. 8.30 p.m. London, Nov. 12. The New Zealand Minister of Labour, Mr. Webb, is progressing satisfactorily after having had his left eye removed in a London hospital. Although he was unwell during his journey to England he attended the international Labour Conference in Paris, and for three weeks went to every session. He returned to London two days before the final session, and ha-J the operation on the advice of a specialist. Mr. Webb declares that he already feels better than he has during the I ast nine or ten months. His departing for New Zealand is uncertain, due to transport compliqptions. Mr. Webb was in the House of Commons last Wednesday, when he listened to Mr. Churchill and Mr. Ernest Kevin in the Foreign Affairs debate.
