OBITUARY

MR. IVAN DAVIDSON The death occurred recently of Mr. Ivan Davidson, a former manager of the Wanganui branch of the firm of Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd. Mr. Davidson was born in Timaru, but moved to Wellington with his parents when a youth. On leaving school he joined Murray, Roberts and Co. Ltd., and remained with them for 48 years, retiring in November of last year after being manager of the Wanganui branch since 1925.

Mr. Davidson was a former chairman of the Wanganui Wool Brokers' Association, and a former member of the Manawatu and West Coast Live Stock Auctioneers’ Association. He was a veteran of the South African War. His wife predeceased him two years ago. Mrs. R. C. Millward, New Plymouth, is a daughter. The funeral took place at the Aramoho cemetery. MR. C. E. ROHLOFF. Mr. Charles Emile Rohloff, died recently in Wanganui, aged 93 years. Born in Australia, he came to New Zealand with his parents when an infant. Shortly after leaving school on the West Coast of the South Island, Mr. Rohloff met with a serious accident which resulted in the loss of a leg. A tailor by profession, Mr. Rohloff came to reside in Wanganui 48 years ago, and remained here until his

death. His wife predeceased him 24 years ago. He leaves an adult family of seven. There are 37 grandchildren ad 61 great grand children. ■-
