SPORTS WEDNESDAY NIGHT INSTEAD OF THURSDAY
This week, the last events in the first series of athletic events and the first events rn lhe second series of cycling events will be contested on Cook’s Gardens by members of the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and cycling Club. Instead of Thursday afternoon, these events will be rm. off Ln conjunction with the carnival attraction under electric lights on Wednesday night. The Athletic and Cycling Club is not arranging special events for Wednesday night, or endeavouring to run an open meeting, but is merely advancing its weekly events one night. The events will be run off in conjunction with Wanganui Marching Associ?.tion displays on the oval.
