N.Z. WOOL FOR GREECE
THANKS FROM UNRRA (P.A.) Wellington, Nov. 9. A cable of thanks to New Zealand for a voluntary donation of 39 bales of wool for distribution through UNRRA in Greece for home-spinning has been received from the UNRRA Director-General Mr. Herbert H. Lehman, by New Zealand C.0.R.5.0. “Very grateful to your fulfilling the desperate need! of Greece,” said Mr. Lehman. This contribution was the outcome of an appeal to the people of New Zealand and was responded to with ■gifts of money and fleeces, even hales of wool. In view of the commencement of the wool season UNRRA has advised that if will welcome further contributions and specially mentions the great need in China for wool as well as for other goods.
