Mr. O. C. G. Lundquist has been appointed to act as Consul-General for Sweden at Sydney for New Zealand. Mr. M. F. Vigevino, formerly Netherlands Consul for New Zealand in Welli-ngton, will shortly leave to reopen the Netherlands Consulate in Singapore. Mr. Harold Daniell, of Sydney has been appointed a director at the head office of the Insurance Office of Australia, Limited, in place of the late Mr. E. M. Perdriau. Mr. Daniell is also a director of the Dunlop Rubber, Australia, Limited.
Mr. R. S. Duff, ethnologist of the Canterbury museum,-is on a vist to Pitcairn Island. He expects to be away from New Zealand for approximately two months, during which time he will visit Raratonga and other island groups. Mr. E. W. Mills, a solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia, has been appointed a commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of South Australia for the purpose of administering and taking caths, affidavits and affirmations, according to this week’s Gazette.
