PETS’ PARADE
INNOVATION AT* TECHNICAL COLLEGE With a view to making pupils of the Wanganui Technical College conscious of their responsibilities towards dumb animals, the school branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, staged a parade of their pets on the school ground yesterday afternoon in the presence of the school. The parade included 14 dogs, five cats, two rabbits, one "budgie,” one canary, four bantams, two lambs, one guinea pig, two goats, one kitten, one pup, one pony, two parrots, and four pigeons. After the parade the animals were regaled with tit-bits of their favourite foods.
The parade had much to commend it, and was followed with keen interest by members of the school.
