DEALING WITH RABBIT PEST
PATEA-WAITOTARA BOARD MEETS Reports from the Patea-Waitotara Rabbit Board’s five rabbiters, submitted at the monthly meeting yesterday, disclosed that 7975 rabbits had been destroyed during the month of October. The appointment of another rabbiter was authorised, and the treasurer reported that the bank balance was in credit to the amount of £665 Is 4d. Mr. Claud Smith presided and the following members were also present: Messrs. T. Lupton, F. K„ Pearce, T. E. Wilson, W. Harris (Government inspector) and the secretary, Mr. S. L. Orr. Leave of absence was granted Mr. W. Matthews.
