FIVE MILES A MINUTE
COMMERCIAL AIRLINE TRANSPORTS New York, Sept. 20 A five-miles-a-minute commercial airline service will become a reality within a few weeks when the new Lockheed Constellations enter the domestic service. The Constellations, the largest land-based transports, carry 48 passengers and will inaugurate schedules of 10 hours Coast, to Coast and 11 to 14 hours to Europe. "The "Herald-Tribune” reports that the Royal Dutch Airlines and the Royal Netherlands Indies Airways are negotiating for the purchase of new aircraft. The latter company is interested in the route between Java and San Francisco.
