NAMING THE WAR

The current issue of the Federal Register of the United States National Archives, reveales that President Truman has approved of a recomendation of Mr. St.mson and Mr. Forrestal (Army and Navy respectively) that “World War Two” be the official name of the present war. The "New York Sun” recalls that thousands of names were suggested after the late President Roosevelt called for suggestions in 1942. Mr. Roosevelt favoured “the War for Survival.”
