LETTER OF THANKS
HOSPITALITY TO POLISH CHILDREN
The following personal letter was received by Mrs. Beaumont Bates, Wanganui, from Countess Wodzicka, wife of the Polish Consul for NewZealand, expressing thanks for the hospitality extended to the Polish children: “It was heart-warming to know that our children are among people of such true kindness and goodwill. One knows at once that they could not help but be happy in such an atmosphere, and we already know that our children will carry in their hear.s gratitude and friendship for New Zealand throughout their lives, wherever their homes may be in the future. “Will you please convey to all the members of your Hospitality Committee in Wanganui my warm thanks and appreciation for all their work and kindness, and to the parents and children who have given our children such happy holidays in your centre."
