REP HOCKEY MATCH
MANAWATU BEATS WANGANUI
In a representative hockey match ’ played on the Gonville Domain on Saturday afternoon, Manawatu beat Wanganui by six goals to nil. The half-time score favoured the winners by 3 nil. The visitors’ forwards gave an exceedingly fine showing, while the defence of the backs was skilfully directed by the centre-half, A. Johnson. Goals for Manawatu were scored by P. Munro (3). J. Nichol (2), and D. Colman 1. The umpires were Messrs. E. Sweetman and D. F. Glenny. In a B grade game Manawatu beat Wanganui 7 nd.
