Spring Race Meetings - By “Kestrel”
The spring racing campaign in New Zealand will be launched in earnest to-day with racing at Wanganui and Ellerslie, in addition- Io which there will be Dominion interest in Sleepy Eox’s Chelmsford Stakes engagement at Randwick. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting will be marked by the lirst two-year-old race, the Debutant Stakes, to-day, and the Wanganui Guineas next Saturday. At Ellerslie, where the Avondale .Jockey Club’s one-day meeting will be held, the Avondale Guineas and the Avondale Cup will be decided.
