Dr. J. F. Dawson, now medical officer of health for the South Auckland district, has been reappointed to supervise the Taranaki district until a new officer is appointed fop Taranaki. When Dr. Dawson left th* Taranaki district some months ago lhe area was supervised by Dr. T. C. Ixmie, medical officer for the Wanganui district. Because of the illnesa of the medical officer for the East Coast district Dr. Lonie has taken over the supervision of that district and is unable to continue supervising the Taranaki district.
