Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Barkman, who have been associated with the Wanganui Lawn Tennis Club for 25 years and who have retired ar e referred to in the annual report of the club. Acknowledgment is made of their fine spirit of co-operation and valued work for the club over a long period of years. Mr. and Mrs. Perrin, of Wallaceville. have been admitted to the associateship of the Royal Institute of Chemistry, of Great Britain, and Ireland. Mrs. Perrin, who is on the staff of the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture, has specialised in the investigation of metallic contaminants in dairy produce, while . Mr. Perrin, who is attached to the animal research divisoin, has concentrated on trace metals in biological materials.
