DRIVERS’ ULTIMATUM ] | Fa'jng an assurance that the tribunal will be set up by September 9 to discuss the matters in dispute between the Auckland Omnibus Proprietors’ Association and the Auckland Drivers’ Union, all buses will cease to operate n Auckland after the completion of the last shift next Sunday. , | A resolution to this effect was passed at a ston-v ork meeting of the ■ urr on this morning. A report of an interview he had had with the acting-Minister of Labour, Mr. O’Brien, in Welington was presented to the meeting by the organiser, Mr. F. D- Muller. Past negotiations with the employers and the partial settlement which had been! reached were also also reported on.' Skeleton services were ma.ntained by; the various companies for the dura-1 tion of meeting, and normal runs were I resumed shortly after 1 p.m. The! buses were driven by the inspectors of the companies.
