The demand for ewes in lamb improved, the best price being 35s 3d for a pen of twotooth halfbreds, and a pen of older sheep made 325. Ewes with lambs at foot sold from Ils 6d to 13s 6d, all counted.

Values for prime steers dropped by about 20s a head. The best of heifers showed a litle change, but the bulk of prime sorts were down by 15s to 20s a head, and cows failed to hold last week’s values by the same amount. Best beef made from 44s to 47s per 1001 b.; medium to good, 40s to 435; secondary, to 38s (all per 1001 b.). P
