WANGANUI WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB
The annual meeting of the Wanganui Women’s Bowling Club was held on Monday in the Y.M.C.A. Lounge. The attendance was good. Mrs. G. Hawkins was re-elected president, Mrs. M. Raine vice-presi-dent,’ Mrs. M. Dempster as secretary and treasurer. The selection committee comprises Mesdiames Farr, Ryland, and Faine. Mrs. N. Dennison was elected hostess. In presenting her report for the year, Mrs. Hawkins stated that interest in the club had been well maintained. The treasurer reported the financial standing as satisfactory. Several new members were nominated and accepted by the club. Mr. D. Jackson, a member of the St. John's Bowling Club, presented two cups and four silver buttons to the club. After he meeting closed afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Dennison and helpers.
