Temp. Lieutenant O. Calkin relinquishes his commision in the Wellington West Coast Regiment, on appointment. to a commission in the R.N.Z.A.F., states the N.Z. Gazette. Temp. Second-Lieutenant A. M. Menzies, Wellington West Coast Regiment, is appointed to the rank of temporary lieutenant whlist employed as transport officer of a camp, according to the N.Z. Gazette.
Sister M. Officer, N.Z. Army Nursing Service, who was recently posted to the Reserve of Officers, nas been reposted on the Territorial Force with the rank of sister, with seniority from October 31, 1940, states the N.Z. Gazette. Mr. R. G. Bennett, manager of the Auckland branch of the Bank of Australasia. has retired. Mr Bennett, who has served in the bank for 39 years, relinquished his duties last week at his own request for health reasons. He spent period in Wellington and Christchurch.
At the annual meeting of the Marton A. and P- Association on Friday, Mr. F. R. H. Brice was re-elected as honorary treasurer. Mr. Brice was one of the foundation members of the association in 1913 and has held the position of hon. treasurer since its inaugu r at ion.
