RAETIHI BOROUGH
COUNCILLORS RETURNED SATURDAY CHOSEN AS THE HALF-HOLIDAY. In the Borough of Raetihi there were two issues of direct interest to the town, and a third in which it shared an interest with Ohakune Borough and the Waimarino County. The issues were:—Election of a borough council, choice of a half-holiday for the borough and the election, together with the borough of Ohakune and Waimarino County, of a representative on the Wanganui Hospital Board. Saturday was retained as the borough half-holiday, the voting being as follows:—Saturday 237, Wednesday 104, Friday 6, Thursday 1. HOSPITAL BOARD. As representative on the Wanganui Hospital Board of the combined boroughs of Raetihi and Ohakune and County of Waimarino, Mr. J. A. Morton did not seek re-election.
