TALK WITH GENERAL MONTGOMERY

MR. FRASER IN ENGLAND (Official News Service.) Recd. 11 p.m. London, May 25. The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr. Fraser, last evening visited General Montgomery at his headquarters “somewhere in England." Mr. Fraser had a long talk with the British invasion army commander and members of his staff, and also with Air Marshal Coningham, formerly of Wellington, who has had a great deal to do with the development of the Allies’ tactical air forces. This morning the Prime Minister had discussions on financial and economic matters affecting New Zealand with Sir John Anderson, Chancellor of the Exchequer.
