OBITUARY
AIR. ERNEST M. METCALFE The death has occured of Mr. Ernest Morell Metcalfe, of Mission Bay, Auckland, and formerly of Hamilton, at the age of 69 years. Mr. Metcalfe formerly represented an Auckland mercantile firm in North Auckland but 20 years ago acquired a dairy farm at Te Awamutu. After a few years he became princioal of a land estate agency in Hamilton, and he retired three years ago to live in Auckland. He is survived by his wife. MR. ARTHUR J. NEWTON The death has occured of Mr. Arthur John Newton, of Raglan. Mr. Newton was born and educated in Hamilton 27 years ago. He followed the trade of wheelwright until his retirement. He was a champion athlete in his youth, J?eing undefeated in weight-lifting contests. He was a life member of No. 2 Druids Lodge, Auckland. Mr. Newton is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.
