SUCCESSFUL CLUB NIGHT. Before a good crowd of supporters the Wanganui Central Swimming Club staged another successful club night in the St. George's Gate baths last night. Water and weather conditions were ideal. Results:— Beginners’ Race: C. Clare. Junior Boys’ “B" Grade: B. Cromarty 1, J. Noble 2. Junior Boys' "A” Grade: M. Ander 1, R. Ander 2. Junior Girls: F. Leatham 1, V. Clare 2, B. Dixon 3. (Intermediate Open: L. Hylton 1, Miss ! Dixon 2, L. Christian 3. Junior Backstroke: F. Leatham 1, B. Dixon 2, V. Clare 3. Open Breaststroke: D. Garden 1, L. Hylton 2, A. Bilderbeck .3. Junior Girls' Dive: V. Clare 1, B. Dixon 2. Junior Boys’ Dive: M. Ander 1, B. Cromarty 2. Senior Dive (open): M. Dixon 1, T. Dalton 2, Miss Dixon 3. Dual Relay: M. Ander and V. Dixon 1, L. Hyltcn and V. Clare 2, M. Dixon and F. White 3. Teams Race: M. Dixon’s team dead-heated with T. Dalton's team. Representatives Chosen. Amongst those chosen to represent Wanganui at the New Zealand championships are Mavis and Betty Dixon, intermediate girls’ freestyle and junior girls' breaststroke respectively.
